Call for papersAPPEL A COMMUNICATION The 1st edition of the Colloque International des Sciences de Gestion (COLIGES) is being held in Kinshasa on the theme : Management Sciences: Research and Applications in the Age of Ecological and Digital Transitions Management sciences cover several fields and sub-fields such as finance, marketing, information systems, human resources management, accounting, management control, auditing, strategic management, etc. The main aim of research in management sciences is to develop and disseminate the results of original, interesting and relevant research that represents advances in terms of concepts, theories and methods. They also seek to disseminate research results through decision-making. The results can therefore be applied to companies and organisations in the broadest sense, but also to public authorities or households/individuals. For example, in the field of marketing, the areas covered will include (but are not limited to): consumer behaviour, communication, retailing, customer relationship management, new product development, distribution, B to C relations, B to B relations. Dans le domaine de la comptabilité, du contrôle et de l’audit, les domaines étudiés peuvent inclure (liste non exhaustive): l'impact de l'information financière et de la divulgation sur les prix des actions ; le rôle de la comptabilité dans les contrats financiers et dans le suivi des relations d’agence ; l’application et la surveillance de l’audit ; l’utilisation de l'information comptable dans les contrats sur les marchés de la dette, du travail, de l’offre, etc.the role of accounting in remuneration and corporate governance; the role of management accounting in internal decision making, such as budgeting, costing and transfer pricing; the real effects of financial reporting and disclosure (e.g. on corporate behaviour); the economics of financial reporting and disclosure regulation, including banking regulation; the setting of accounting standards; international differences in financial reporting and the role of reporting standards in international capital markets; the use of accounting information in public finance and macroeconomic statistics; the impact of tax regulation on the structuring of transactions; the role of transparency in markets and society; corporate social responsibility, etc. In finance, subjects may include (but are not limited to): corporate finance, investments, capital and securities markets, asset pricing, banking and market microstructure, law and finance, behavioural finance, experimental finance, etc. In the field of human resources, topics may include: human resources management, strategic HRM, sustainable HRM, green HRM, international HRM, human capital, human resources policy, employment, employee relations ; labour relations, industrial relations, people organisation, workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent management, compensation, benefits, compensation systems, total rewards, training and development, careers, safety and health, diversity and inclusion, equity, employment law, employee voice, employee involvement, employee assistance programmes, employee engagement, retention, HR outsourcing, HR analytics, workforce analytics, HRM technology, social issues and HRM, HRM trends. In the field of entrepreneurship, topics may include (non-exhaustive list): creation, development, growth and performance of new businesses; characteristics, behaviour and types of entrepreneurs; management of small businesses; family businesses; social and sustainable entrepreneurship; national and international studies on business creation; research methods in entrepreneurship; venture capital financing; capital for the development and marketing of new products; replacement of existing products; management of technology-intensive companies; management of technological innovation in medium-sized and large organisations; investment strategies related to new scientific or technological ventures; the technological innovator as entrepreneur, team member, manager or employee; technology transfer to, from and between developing countries; technological innovation in all its forms: companies, political and economic systems, etc. In the field of logistics and production, topics will include (but are not limited to): consideration of entire activity cycles, such as the product life cycle - research, design, development, testing, launch, disposal - and the material flow cycle - supply, production, distribution; logistics and the supply chain, etc. In the field of information systems, topics will include: the development of information technology-based services, the management of information technology resources, the economics and use of information technology with managerial and organisational implications. In short, information technology - its effects, development, implementation, strategy, management and policy. In the field of strategy and international management, subjects will include (non-exhaustive list): all subjects that are relevant to the performance of companies and non-profit organisations. These concern the activities, strategies, structures and decision-making processes of multinational enterprises; the interactions between multinational enterprises and other actors, organisations, institutions and markets; the cross-border activities of enterprises (e.g. intra-firm trade, finance, investment, technology transfer, outsourced services); how the international environment (e.g. cultural, economic, legal, political) affects the activities, strategies, structures and decision-making processes of enterprises; the international dimensions of organisational forms (e.g. strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions) and activities (e.g. entrepreneurship, knowledge-based competition, corporate decision-making processes, entrepreneurship, knowledge-based competition, corporate governance); cross-national comparative studies of firms, business processes and organisational behaviour in different countries and environments; global sustainability (e.g. how performance indicators, environmental impact mitigation and climate change, and a variety of distributive justice dimensions - global equity, diversity and inclusion movements - affect the operation of international firms). In addition to the themes specific to the various fields of management science and management mentioned above, this year's research will be able to propose the following three cross-cutting themes: - Inflation - Decarbonisation - Sustainability In addition, research conducted in the sciences ancillary to management sciences is welcome, particularly in economics, psychology, sociology, philosophy, political science, information and communication sciences, health sciences, and the list goes on. Research may use qualitative, quantitative or mixed methods. Research may also use different types of epistemology: positivist, critical realist, action research, or interpretativist. COLIGES welcomes different theoretical perspectives, as well as a variety of data and methodological approaches. COLIGES seeks articles that make methodological, managerial and/or theoretical contributions. Empirical studies in papers seeking to make theoretical and/or managerial contributions may involve experimental and/or observational designs, and may be based on primary data (including qualitative data) and/or secondary data (including meta-analytic datasets). The COLIGES conference includes a doctoral conference at the beginning of the conference.
Types of papers : A paper is a work based on a conceptual framework that draws on one or more theories, and includes an empirical phase with data collection. The results obtained are discussed in order to advance knowledge in the field in question. The approach may be deductive or inductive, and the data collected may be quantitative or qualitative.
Submitted manuscripts will undergo an anonymous evaluation process by two reviewers. They will be assessed on the basis of their originality, methodological rigour and relevance to the conference theme.
Paper formats : Papers may be submitted in French or English. They should be written in Times 12 font, single-spaced and should not exceed 10 pages (including appendices). The first page must include: the title of the article, the name of the author, the institutional affiliation, the author's postal and e-mail addresses, an abstract (in French or English) of approximately 500 words, and a maximum of five (5) keywords. Titles and subtitles must be numbered according to the tiered system (3 levels maximum): 1., 1.1., 1.1.1.
